Goldenbrook Farm Bucks

Your buck will make up half your herd, so choose him carefully. You should choose a buck who is strong in all of your doe's weakness as well as being strong in the characteristics that are most important to you in your herd. Owning your own bucks has it's own set of challenges (fencing, housing, nutrition and of course smell) however my Nigerian bucks are some of the most, outgoing and affectionate (in nice ways too) animals I have owned. I truly enjoy my bucks.

HONEYSUCKLE RIDGE DK BLUE

ADGA/AGS REGISTERED

D.O.B.: 7 May 2002 (twins-2/bucks)

Sire: Ponders End DG Pimlico
(Ponders End MTB Dancing Gecko X Mighty Fine Prissy)
Dam: Prairie Woods Blue Socks
(Prairie Wood Blue Print X Willows Glitz)

Blue is a handsome, smaller buck that has produced some beautiful daughters here on our farm. We have retained five of them for our own dairy herd. He boasts a high, tight wither and shoulder, incredible width throughout, tight toes, good body length and an excellent temperament.

He passes on his correct feet and legs as well as width and a strong, smoothly blended front-end assembly to his offspring.

Here is a buck who we believe will be proven through his gorgeous, productive daughters. (See Goldenbrook Farm Periwinkle, Strawberry, Daisy B Blue and Kiki B Blue)

His daughters have won many ribbons including: Grand Champion Junior doe (2X), Reserve Grand Champion Junior doe, Best Udder, Best of Breed, Grand Champion Senior Doe and Reserve Grand Champion Senior Doe. They have also placed 1 X 2nd in Dairy Herd and 1 X 1st and 2 X 2nd in Get of Sire.

ROSASHARN FS MERLIN

ADGA/AGS REGISTERED

D.O.B.: 21 June 2004 (twins-2/bucks)

Sire: MCH Twin Creeks WB Fire Storm *S
(MCH Goodwood Weisbaden+*SE X MCH Twin Creeks BH Mariri’s Zinnia 4*DE )
Dam: Rosasharn’s UK Witch Hazel
(Rosasharn’s TL Ukulele Ke’a *S X Rosasharn’s Hazel Nut 4*D)
HES Score: (not yet scored)

Merlin is a unique color of fawn & white with silver moon spots. He is has a very sweet personality. He has a sharp wither, a long body with plenty of width, a level top line, straight legs and is open in the escutcheon.

His dam’s HES score was excellent. She has a very nice udder with proper teat size, placement and shape. Good width throughout, a nice fore udder, a really smooth and tight rear udder and beautiful lateral attachments.

His sire earned his permanent championship before he was two.

His daughters are long bodied with nice necks and very dairy AND FLASHY! (See Bit of Heaven, Cinco de Mayo, Razmatazz, Daffodil & Dot) He throws lots of color and moon spots!

His daughters have been very successful in the show ring as well. Every daughter of his has had udder improvement over their dam, especially in height of attachment. Their udder are all soft and easy to milk. Some of my best and most promising does are Merlin daughters.

SHOW WINS

2 X Grand Champion Senior Buck, 2 X Reserve Grand Champion Senior Buck, 1 X 1st, 1 X 2nd, 3 X 3rd , 3 X 4th

Unfortunately, he now measures 1/4" over the height limit (which is surprising since he was such a shrimp as a kid) and we may not be able to earn his permanent championship and he was so slose!
